Urban aviary

The starting point for this work is a self-imposed premise made by the artist: to illustrate all the species of birds she can observe during her daily routine. The observation has to be done under a certain condition: it must be a passive observation, that means that there is no active search, there is no going on purpose to look for a certain type of bird. On the contrary, the idea is to be alert so as to notice what it is already there. This series proposes, in addition to illustrating urban biodiversity, to recover what usually goes unnoticed, making the invisible visible again.
